Founding Inbetweentheirlines, I created a platform where my musical initiative surpassed music creation. Being imbedded in the music industry, the social commentary often drifted away from the source of music and toward gossip. I aimed to keep the projects, the lyrics, the production at the centre of conversation.

I relate to independent artists in the way that it is hard to have presence on publications, magazines, artist highlights due to insufficient social media followers, view counts or music streams. So I host a section called ‘Dscver The Magic Within’, centred around independent artists and their artistry no matter the numbers.

I love to hear about different perspectives and experiences about music and careers within the industry. I find it important to host a space where these artists have the freedom to express themselves and their art, defining who they are and the positive impact they’re here to make. I structure interviews around the artist, posing open-ended questions, allowing the artist speak as little or long as they’d like. Working in the industry as an independent creative gives me insight to project developing processes, the sensitivity of how artists think about their work, how releases/campaigns are presented, with an understanding of both the creative process behind a story and the audience it's intended to reach.

Established since 2024, Inbetweentheirlines grew beyond what I’ve imagined - from a blog site to an editorial and publishing platform. Setting deadlines for each article release was challenging but installed discipline as a founder and director. Growth in content felt natural. The authorial tone of each of my pieces are conversational and thought-provoking with fascination of music culture and everything inspired around it.
